Animal hospital situated in Slöinge

Hallands Djursjukhus is an animal hospital situated in Slöinge, one of the most beautiful areas in the south west coast of Sweden. The hospital has facilities and provides care for both small animals and horses. The equine hospital has two branch surgeries, "BJERTORPS HÄSTKLINIK" and “TRAVBANEKLINIKEN”.

 

We are a team of 7 equine veterinary surgeons, 9 small animal veterinary surgeons, 23 veterinary nurses and two laboratory technicians. The majority of the veterinary surgeons have “specialistkompetensexamen”, a Swedish specialist degree, of equine-, canine-, or feline medicine and surgery respectively.

 

Additionally, one of the small animal veterinary surgeons has extensive knowledge in ophthalmology (diseases of the eye), in particularly hereditary eye conditions in dogs.

 

The hospital has facilities to accommodate hospitalisation of small animals and horses and carry out most surgical procedures, including arthroscopy. We provide a full range of diagnostic techniques, such as radiography (digitally processed), ultrasonography, fibro-optic endoscopy/gastroscopy, ECG, and laboratory evaluations.

 

Emergencies are admitted at all times between 8.00 and 21.00 weekdays, 9,00 and 21,00 on weekends.

 

Travbanekliniken

The second branch surgery was built in 2000 and has fully equipped equine surgery with x-ray facilities as well as ultrasonography and minor operating theatre. Travbanekliniken is situated just outside the race-track for standardbreeds in Halmstad.
